Mission:

World Advocacy Foundation (WAF) exists to build cross-cultural partnerships, create relevant advocacy models and drive transformational change in developing countries.

Vision:

The vision of WAF is to see relevant advocates fully resourced and empowered to bring transformational change into the lives of the oppressed, exploited and voiceless in Africa and third world countries.

Strategy:

Major focuses to accomplish the vision:

U.S. Partner Development
Identify developing professionals who desire to expand their experience, share knowledge and train cross-cultural counterparts. Individuals with social work, education, youth mentoring, health care, and life skills training experience work in teams to develop culturally relevant curriculum, facilitate conferences/workshops, and train counterparts.

U.S. Resource Development
Develop training curriculum that blends western expertise with cultural relevance in applications that address issues such as gender equality, girl-child education, child defilement, life skills development, man-child training, next generation leadership development, etc.

Cross Cultural Advocate Development
Identify, empower and equip international advocates using a model that features multi-function adaptability, low implementation costs and greatly increased cultural relevancy. WAF provides ongoing training and development to advocates, while building support networks with U.S. counterparts and like-minded NGO’s and non-profit organizations.

Transformational Development implemented by International Advocates
WAF works with international advocates to build programs, develop projects, and host training conferences / workshops that address issues of direst need in their countries and communities. International advocates serve the disenfranchised and needy, while also developing next generation leadership to multiply their efforts.
